According to the annual unified arrangement of Shanghai New Materials Association, the Professional Committee of Antibacterial and Epidemic Prevention New Materials (hereinafter referred to as the "Special Committee") actively plans the "2023 Functional Nanomaterials and Applications" seminar to publicize and promote relevant scientific and technological knowledge, so as to serve member units and the society.
The seminar was successfully held on the afternoon of June 1, 2023. The seminar was sponsored by Shanghai New Materials Association and Special Committee, and co-organized by Shanghai Jieyikang Chemical Technology Co., LTD and Wuhan Huayinggu Biological New Materials Application Technology Research Institute Co., LTD.
Teacher Mei Shiyu of the Association delivered a speech on behalf of Secretary General He Koubao. I wish this activity a success. I hope that through the special discussion activity of experts and enterprises, it will play a positive guiding role for the relevant member units of the New Materials Association in the field of material development and application, and promote the transformation of the development results of functional nanomaterials to achieve the target application.
Yu Yun, a researcher from Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, made a special report on "Research Progress of 2D MXene Materials and Coatings". Firstly, he introduced the Key Laboratory of Special Coatings of Chinese Academy of Sciences:
Researcher Yu introduced the following three nanomaterials in detail: Ti3C2Tx capacitive deionizing electrode material, Ti3C2Tx heavy metal ion adsorption material and Ti3C2Tx-based infrared low emissivity coating, and introduced the application of the three nanomaterials. The report of researcher Yu has opened up a broader application field of nanomaterials for us, and made us understand more new nanomaterials and application directions.
Nie Xuan, a researcher from Wuhan Huayinggu Biological New Materials Co., LTD., made a report on Visible Light Photocatalytic Antibacterial Technology, which popularized the scientific knowledge of photocatalysis in detail from the aspects of photocatalysis technology, principle and application, and introduced the photocatalysis related products and wide applications of Wuhan Huayinggu Company.
Liu Zhai, deputy Director of the Center for Microbial Resources and Biological Information Research, Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered the report "Omics Research in the Process of Viral Infection". Researcher Liu first carried out the popular science of the basic knowledge of the virus, for everyone from another level to explain, a refreshing feeling.
Then, Researcher Liu introduced three research cases, so that you can understand the dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 infection, and also understand that after virus infection, the metabolism and biogenesis processes in host cells are significantly changed, and the innate immune pathways in cells are significantly activated. All these are for us to develop related products in the future, if these mechanisms are involved, it will undoubtedly deepen our research and development depth.
Dr. Zhang Chunming from Juzhi (Suzhou) Nanotechnology Co., Ltd. made a report on the Industrial Application of Graphene and its nano-functional Composites.
Dr. Zhang gave a detailed explanation on the market background of nanomaterials, graphene microsheet materials, nano-meter functional composite materials and applications, and introduced the application fields of graphene products mainly developed by the company:

At the end of the seminar, Dr. Ma Zhengsheng, director of the Special Committee on New Materials for Antibacterial and Epidemic Prevention, commented on the wonderful speeches of the four experts invited, and put forward some hot issues in the market for relevant practitioners in the industry to discuss.
In the future, under the leadership and guidance of Shanghai New Materials Association, the Special Committee on Antibacterial and Epidemic Prevention New Materials will continue to arrange relevant seminars and other activities to further serve member units. Please continue to follow up.
