In this era full of change and innovation, the textile industry is ushering in unprecedented development opportunities and challenges. On August 30, at the invitation of the leaders of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Donghua University, Dr. Ma Zhengsheng, a research leader of Shanghai Jiecon Chemical Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. visited the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Donghua University and successfully held a wonderful lecture entitled "Differentiation, novelty and functionalization are always the inexhaustible driving force of the textile industry". He had a good interaction with the 2024 freshmen of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Donghua University, bringing a collision of wisdom and inspiration.

As a senior graduate of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Donghua University, Dr. Ma Zhengsheng has comprehensively and deeply analyzed the current development trend and future trend of the textile industry from theory to practice with his profound academic foundation and rich industry experience. He stressed that in the rapidly changing market environment, differentiation, novelty and functionalization are not only the key to enhance the competitiveness of textile enterprises, but also the inexhaustible driving force to promote the continuous progress of the entire industry.

Differentiation

Dr. Ma pointed out that in the face of increasingly homogenized competition in the market, textile enterprises must create products with distinctive personality and unique charm through unique design concepts, exquisite technology and accurate market positioning, in order to attract the attention of consumers and win their favor.

Novelization

He shared the latest achievements in the development and technology of new functional materials for health, and explained how these innovative technologies inject new vitality and possibilities into textile products. The novel products  not only meet consumers' pursuit of freshness, but also open up new market space for enterprises.

Functionalization

In response to modern people's high requirements for textile functionality, Dr. Ma introduced in detail the research and development progress and application examples of Jiecon in antibacterial, deodorant, breathable, warm and other functional textiles.
